Extension Runners

Project Details

Extension Runners is an NFT collection that builds on top of the Chain Runners Genesis and XR collections. Holders of Original runners will be able to claim matching Extension Runners. Extension Runners cannot be sold or traded, they are a utility token for existing runners. And the way they add utility is that Extension Runners can be customized, users can enable and disable individual traits and that mutability is powered by Tableland.

Result

My goal with the pilot program was to go from zero, I hadn't written a single line of code on this yet, and build everything needed to launch the collection. And I did!

Contracts

The collection consists of a couple of smart contracts:

• The main ERC721 collection contract, based on solmate ERC721 with custom implementations for minting and transferring tokens since extension tokens are bound to the owner of the matching genesis/xr runner.
• A metadata contract that the main contract delegates tokenURI calls to. This contract builds the Tableland query for the token metadata, is very modular and can also be replaced if needed.
• A Trait updater contract that lets the holder of a token enable/disable traits.
• TablelandControllers that locks down access to the tables.

• The Chain Runners SDK
