Summary

DAO Contributions can be marked with a “Quilt NFT”, denoting the size of the work underway without overly financializing & numerically weighing every interaction that takes place in a decentralized community. In this way, quilts recognize the singular (non fungible) nature of each contribution, while also leaving a trail to reason about fair liquidity grants.

Quilts come in bucketed sizes — small, medium, and large. E.g. below are contribution NFTs showing different “weights” of the work undertaken.

Technical Detail

Each DAO/workstream/epoch can be represented as a Tableland NFT. These can be queried and composed to create “daoquilts,” a selectively revealed on-chain resume or history of contributions. These can also be used as avatars or for granting access to channels.

Adding a New Tile

An example to further concretize the schema.

`INSERT INTO ${name} (id, name) VALUES (0, 'MetaCartel', 'contributor_name?', 'Meta Grants workstream', 'Season 2', 'Medium Contribution');`'

At the end of the season, the token is ceremoniously burnt (i..e access to the table is removed for any and all addresses, including one’s own address). // [tk..] Contract based access control, where developer can delegate table gating to a separate contract, which can check ownership, do block number checks or run other on chain logic.

Querying for Quilts

Then one can run sql queries to mint successive quilts.
